These terms govern your use of the services provided by Brookman Limited t/a MTD Go ("we", "us"). By subscribing you agree to them. They work alongside the engagement letter we issue you, which sets out the detailed scope of work; if there is any conflict, the engagement letter prevails.
1. Our service
MTD Go provides Making Tax Digital compliance support for UK landlords and sole traders, which may include HMRC registration and agent authorisation, bookkeeping software setup, quarterly digital filings, End of Period Statements, and (on the relevant plan) your Self Assessment return. The exact scope is set out in your chosen plan and engagement letter.
2. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate and timely information and records.
- Complete identity verification required under anti-money-laundering law before we can act for you.
- Review and approve filings where we ask you to, and meet any deadlines we communicate.
- You remain legally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide to us and, ultimately, for your tax affairs.
3. Fees and payment
Fees are as shown on your chosen plan (currently £44.50/month for the first year, then £89/month; the Transition Bundle adds a £200 one-off). Payment is collected by Direct Debit via GoCardless. Prices may change with reasonable notice. First-year promotional pricing may require the stated minimum term.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel in line with our Refund Policy, including the 14-day money-back guarantee on your initial payment. Cancellation does not remove your own legal obligations to HMRC.
5. Limitation of liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to [INSERT — e.g. the fees paid in the preceding 12 months]. We are not liable for penalties or losses arising from inaccurate or late information provided by you. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Professional regulation & complaints
We are regulated by the ACCA and act in accordance with its Code of Ethics and Conduct. If you have a complaint, contact support@mtd-go.co.uk; unresolved complaints may be referred to the ACCA.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
